PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a data file of an acquiring object is not able to be selected conventionally by assigning a condition about a content of the data file when the data file on a computer network is down-loaded. SOLUTION: This data file acquiring device is provided with a condition setting part 1 for assigning the condition as to the content of the acquiring object, a data investigating part 7 for retrieving/searching the content of the data file under the down-loading from the computer network based on the set conditions by the condition setting part 1 so as to search whether the data file is the acquiring object or not, a data storage part 3 for storing the down- loaded data file in a data memory 6 when the file is determined as the acquiring object by the data searching part 7, and a stopping part 5 for stopping down- loading processing by a down-loading part 2 when the file is determined as not the acquiring object, and the unnecessary data file is thereby prevented from being down-loaded.
