PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display is provided to prevent liquid crystal from overflowing an active area by forming a liquid crystal overflow prevention film between a seal line and the active area. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display having an active area and a peripheral area includes the first and second substrates(111,112), and a sealant(116) formed around the active area of the first substrate. The liquid crystal display further includes the first liquid crystal overflow prevention layer(117) formed between the active area and the sealant line, and a liquid crystal layer(113) formed in the active area between the first and second substrates. The liquid crystal display also has the second liquid crystal overflow prevention layer or a liquid crystal overflow prevention groove formed between the first liquid crystal overflow prevention layer and the sealant line. The liquid crystal layer is formed through printing or dispensing method. |
