PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game medium storage container for judging a using state with the prescribed amount of game media as a reference. SOLUTION: In the game medium storage container provided with an opening on an upper surface and provided with a bottom wall facing the opening, a side wall provided around the bottom wall and an extension wall extended outward from the upper end of the side wall, in which a space for storing the game medium put out from a game machine is formed by the bottom wall and the side wall, a first IC tag stored with identification information, which is communicable with communication equipment provided in a container mounting part for mounting the game medium storage container, is provided on at least one of the walls provided above the bottom wall. The first IC tag is provided on a position at which communication with the communication equipment is impossible in the case that the prescribed amount of the game media or more are stored in the game medium storage container and the communication with the communication equipment is possible in the case that the game media are not stored or the game medium fewer than the prescribed amount are stored in the game medium storage container in the state of mounting the game medium storage container on the container mounting part so as to position the communication equipment at the almost center lower part of the bottom wall.
