<p>A system and method for host executable navigation are described. The host executable navigation system compiles host screen navigation scripting to produce host executable navigation files that can be run as an executable load module in a legacy host data system. Through use of the host executable navigation files, performance gains can be realized over conventional approaches using interpreted host navigation scripts. The system includes a pre-generation system and storage area to extract and store information from the navigation source file. A code generation system generates executable navigation files using the extracted information and target templates associated with the target host computer.</p> |
