The invention relates to a rotor blade for a wind power installation and a wind power installation comprising at least one rotor blade. If the wind attack surface, i.e. the rotor blade surface, is small, the level of strain exerted upon said installation is correspondingly reduced and the rotor blad e is easier to transport. However, minimum dimensions are required for the rot or blade in keeping with the size of the installation and must clearly be respected. In order to create a rotor blade which has the required aerodynam ic surface and is embodied in such a way that the surface of the rotor blade an d the depth thereof can be reduced in given circumstances, part of the surface of said rotor blade is deformable or moveable.
