PURPOSE: An apparatus for processing a bandwidth allocation map message is provided to add a format conversion function of allocation map information elements and a Grant counter function and perform a fragmentation function about MAC(Medium Access Control) frame data prescribed in RFI1.1. CONSTITUTION: Allocation map information elements are composed as an allocation map start indicator with 1 bit, an SID(Service ID) index with 5 bits, a duration with 8 bits, an IUC(Interval Utility Code) with 4 bits, and an offset with 14 bits. An SID matching unit includes a Grant interval counter having a current allocation map Grant counter(21) and a Grant counter(22).
