PURPOSE: A device and a method for managing a vending machine using a mileage are provided to enable a customer to buy a product with the mileage by applying the mileage to the customer in case that the customer buys the product at the vending machine and to smoothly manage the state of the vending machine and the total accumulation of the product sales by managing the vending machine through the Internet. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a product selector(140) making the customer select the product by using the mileage, a mileage calculator(150) summing up the mileage corresponding to a product price selected by the customer, a database storing the summed mileage, a display(130) outputting the mileage stored in the database and a product provider(170) providing the product if the customer confirms the mileage output by the display. The vending machine includes an input part(110) receiving the information such as a password and ID of the customer, and a confirmation part(120) confirming the inputted information.
