A molten steel feeder for continuous casting and a method for continuous casting using the molten steel feeder; the molten steel feeder, comprising a tundish (1) having an upper nozzle (2) installed at the bottom part thereof, a flow control mechanism (3) installed at the lower part of the upper nozzle (2), an immersed nozzle (4) formed of a refractory having an electric conductivity, one electrode (5) facing the internal space of the tundish (1) , the other electrode (6) installed in the immersed nozzle (4), and a power supply part (7) connected to both electrodes (5) and (6); the method for continuous casting, comprising the step of, by using the molten steel feeder , feeding molten steel to a mold while feeding an electric power between the internal surface of the immersed nozzle (4) and the molten steel (8) passing the inside of the nozzle, whereby the oxide of Al in the molten steel can be prevented from adhering to the internal surface of the immersed nozzle, and thus a product defect can be prevented from occurring.
