<p>Novel genes containing domains encoding proteins are directly cloned from cDNA libraries originating in human adult whole brain, human tonsil, human adult hippocampus and human fetal whole brain. The base sequences and functions thereof are identified. DNAs containing base sequences encoding the following polypeptides (a) and (b): (a) a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence which is the same or substantially the same as one of the amino acid sequences represented by SEQ ID NOS:1 to 31; and (b) a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence derived from one of the amino acid sequences represented by SEQ ID NOS: 1 to 31 by deletion, substitution or addition of a part of the amino acids and having substantially the same biological activity; recombinant proteins encoded by the above DNAs; and proteins containing these polypeptides.</p> |
