<p>The invention relates to a handle for transmitting rotational movements produced by an encircling grasp by means of a shaft (4) projecting from the face of the handle base (5), especially the handle on a screw clamp, a vice handle or a vice. The handle base (5) comprises an elongate section (10) for grasping it that consists of a rigid plastic material with soft plastic zones embedded therein. The aim of the invention is to improve the handle so that higher torques can be achieved. To this end, the encircling section (10) lying in the cupped hand has the cross-sectional contour of an equilateral triangle whose corners are rounded off. The slightly convex edges associated with the corners form strip-shaped soft zones (11) that blend into a peripheral soft zone (12) in the section that is encircled by thumb and index finger.
