The invention relates to a method for regulating a cooling appliance comprising a closed cooling circuit. At least one compressor (1) and at least two separate cooling chambers (2, 4) for different temperatures are arranged in the inventive device, along with evaporators (10, 30) connected in series and separate temperature sensors (20, 40) which trigger the at least one compressor (1). The evaporator (10) of the cooling chamber (2) for low temperatures is arranged directly downstream from the compressor (1). To this end, the operating time interval of the at least one compressor (1) which is switched on by means of the temperature sensor (40) of the cooling chamber (4) for high temperatures, is longer than the time interval required for the coolant to reach and fully flow through the evaporator (10) associated with the cooling chamber (2) for low temperatures. Furthermore, the operating time interval of the at least one compressor which is switched on by means of the temperature sensor (20) of the cooling chamber (4) for low temperatures, is shorter than the time interval required for the coolant to reach and fully flow through the evaporator.
