The invention relates to a dosing device for conveying small amounts of substances from a reservoir (3) in an application chamber (2) via a micromembrane pump (4) which can be used particularly for conveying small doses of gas (aromas). The inventive device conveys fixed amounts of an aromatic substance in from a reservoir (3) firstly, into a pump chamber (1) and subsequently into an application chamber (2) using a micromembrane pump (4) in a nozzle-diffuser system. According to the invention, the operation of the micromembrane pump (4) modifies the volume and the pressure of the pump chamber (1), so that the aromatic substance is alternately suctioned from the reservoir (3) into the pump chamber (1), and is released from the pump chamber (1) into the application chamber (2). By periodically modifying the volume of the pump chamber (1), the substance placed in the reservoir (3) is conveyed in a slow manner during a period of time and in predetermined, minimal doses into the application chamber (2).
