A bioscopy method whereby life or death of cells and/or bacteria is judged by applying nucleic acid quantification; and a method of nucleic acid amplification whereby cells and/or nucleic acid genes are efficiently and directly amplified. For example, DNA stable and unstable parts in samples containing viable cells and dead cells at different mixing ratios are amplified by PCR. Then PCR products are observed in a sample A wherein the DNA unstable part comprises viable cells exclusively while no PCR product is observed in a sample H wherein the DNA unstable part comprises dead cells exclusively. Thus, the life/death and mixing ratios of the samples can be understood.
