Cytokine production inhibitors containing as the active ingredient aniline derivatives represented by the general formula (I) or salts thereof: (I) wherein A is CO or SO~2; Cy is aryl or a heterocyclic group; R1~ and R2~ are each independently halogeno, cyano, nitro, optionally substituted alkyl, optionally substituted alkenyl, optionally substituted alkynyl, optionally substituted cycloalkyl, optionally substituted cycloalkenyl, optionally substituted aryl, an optionally substituted heterocyclic group, optionally substituted amino, or B-Q; R3~ is M1~-M2~-R5~; R4~ is hydrogen or optionally substituted alkyl; x is an integer of 0 to 5; y is an integer of 0 to 4; and z is an integer of 0 to 1.
