<p>II-form and III-form crystal modifications of 2-(2'-hydroxy-3',5'-di-t-amylphenyl)benzotriazole which can be used efficiently and have satisfactory flowability. The II-form crystal modification of 2-(2'-hydroxy-3'-5'-di-t-amylphenyl)benzotriazole is represented by the following formula (1) and, in X-ray powder diffractometry with a Cu-Kα line, has diffraction peaks at diffraction angles of 5.6°, 7.3°, 9.4°, 10.5°, 13.0°, 13.7°, 16.0°, 16.4°, 18.3°, and 18.7°. The III-form crystal modification, in X-ray powder diffractometry with a Cu-Kα line, has diffraction peaks at diffraction angles of 5.5°, 7.3°, 10.6°, 13.0°, 14.1°, 14.9°, 15.7°, 16.4°, 17.2°, 25.1°, and 26.7°.
