PERIODIC MEDIA RESERVATION TIME METHOD FOR PERIODIC QOS DATA IN WLAN

摘要

A periodic medium reservation timer method for QoS request data having periodical transmission characteristics in a WLAN(Wireless LAN) is provided to improve QoS of a wireless link section by reducing a voice frame transmission delay and jitter. Voice information is obtained through a WLAN. One of setting, changing, and removing an RN(Reservation Number) is performed according to an RN setup procedure between a WLAN terminal and an AP(Access Point). A voice QoS frame including obtained reservation information is transmitted at every period whenever a voice frame is generated to a wireless link interval. A reservation time is set based on the reservation period included in the received voice QoS frame.
