An operating method of an air conditioner is provided to precisely control according to the setting condition in the site by directly measuring the evaporation temperature during the test-driving for resetting the desired pressure. An operating method of an air conditioner comprises a step(S10) of test-driving the air conditioner based on the predetermined desired pressure, a step(S20) of measuring the evaporation temperature of an evaporator entry installed in an indoor device, and steps(S30,S40,S51,S53) of resetting the predetermined desired pressure according to the measured evaporation temperature. In order to reset the desired pressure the entire average or the capacity-weighed average of each indoor device is calculated(S30). Then, compare the average of measured evaporation temperature and the desired evaporation temperature. If the average of measured evaporation temperature is greater than the desired evaporation temperature, the desired pressure is lowered(S51). If the average of measured evaporation temperature is less than the desired evaporation temperature, the desired pressure is highly set(S53).
