摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode structure for iontophoresis which enables iontophoresis administration of drugs even those administered without ionization or those insoluble or hardly soluble in water and confers disirable functions in drug delivery to such drugs or drugs administered after ionization. SOLUTION: The electrode structure for iontophoresis holds a drug enclosed in ionic liposomes. The electrode structure at least comprises an electrode connected to a power source having the same polarity as the ionic liposomes held within the electrode structure, an electrolyte holding section arranged adjacent to the electrode for impregnating and holding an electrolyte, an ion exchange membrane arranged adjacent to the electrolyte holding section for selecting ions having a polarity opposite to the ionic liposomes, a drug solution holding section arranged adjacent to the ion exchange membrane for impregnating and holding the ionic liposomes, and an ion exchange membrane for selecting ions having the same polarity as the ionic liposomes.
