Method for detecting the sugar concentration in solutions or body fluids, comprises: (A) placing a sugar-sensitive matrix (A), in direct contact with the test solution; and (B) irradiating (A), detecting and analyzing the luminescent signal after spectral filtering. Method for detecting the sugar concentration in solutions or body fluids, comprises: (A) placing a sugar-sensitive matrix (A), in which a sugar-sensitive luminescent dye (I) is immobilized, in direct contact with the test solution; and (B) irradiating (A), detecting and analyzing the luminescent signal, dependent on sugar concentration, after spectral filtering. (I) includes a boronic acid group as receptor and can be coupled to a carrier.
