A sound image localizing device for localizing the sound image of reproduced sound in any position according to the reproduction state. The sound image localizing device (1) comprises a decoder (3) for reproducing a reproduction acoustic signal and an angle selection signal (SA) from a DVD disk (2), a synthesizing circuit (4) which receives an angle selection designation signal (SA') for designating a change of the sound image position for the angle selection signal (SA) and the reproduced reproduction acoustic signal and changes the localization position of the sound image according to the angle selection signal (SA) for which angle selection is designated by the angle selection designating signal (SA'), and loudspeakers (7, 8) for outputting reproduced sound in such a way that the sound image is localized in the changed sound image localization position. Thus the sound image is localized in any position by designating change of angle selection signal (SA), and consequently the sound image localization position is properlydetermined according to the angle mode selected by a listener (9) so as to reproduce reproduction sound.
