PURPOSE: A device for controlling oil temperature of an automatic transmission is provided to refrigerate or heat automatic transmission oil and to improve shift feeling by preventing shift shock. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling oil temperature in an automatic transmission comprises a refrigerating passage(21) connected to a discharge passage of a damper clutch control valve of an automatic transmission(20); a radiator(22) refrigerating automatic transmission oil; a bypass passage(23) engaged with the refrigerating passage; a direction controlling solenoid valve(24) controlling the bypass passage; a check valve(23) installed on the bypass passage; a cooling water chamber(26) heating the transmission oil by surrounding the refrigerating passage; a supplying passage(27a) connecting the cooling water chamber to a cooling water line of an engine(27) with a drain passage(27b); a temperature sensor(20) detecting temperature of the automatic transmission; and a transmission control unit connected to an engine control unit. Thereby, the device for controlling the oil temperature of the automatic transmission refrigerates or heats the automatic transmission oil.
