PURPOSE: An apparatus for converting a data transmission rate in an electronic exchange is provided to convert a mutual data transmission rate using a memory between two asynchronous data in which transmission rates differ. CONSTITUTION: The first address/memory control signal generating unit(23) counts a receiving time slot about SHW(Sub-HighWay) data with a TTL(Transistor Transistor Logic circuit) signal type inputted through an SHW interface unit(21), generates a write address corresponding to a corresponding SHW receiving time slot, and generates the first control signal per the corresponding SHW receiving time slot. The first address/memory control signal generating unit(23) counts an SHW transmitting time slot about SHW transmitting data, generates a read address corresponding to a corresponding transmitting time slot, and generates the second control signal per the corresponding SHW transmitting time slot. The second address/memory control signal generating unit(26) counts a THW(Traffic HighWay) receiving time slot about THW data with the TTL signal type inputted through a THW interface unit(25), generates a write address corresponding to a corresponding THW receiving time slot, and generates the first control signal per the corresponding THW receiving time slot. The second address/memory control signal generating unit(26) counts a THW transmitting time slot about THW transmitting data, generates a read address corresponding to a corresponding THW transmitting time slot, and generates the second control signal per the corresponding THW transmitting time slot. The first DPRAM(Dual- Port RAM)(24) stores data latched in an SHW receiving data latch unit(22) according to the write address and the first control signal of the first address/memory control signal generating unit(23), or outputs the THW transmitting data to the THW interface unit(25) according to the read address and the second control signal of the second address/memory control signal generating unit(26).
