PURPOSE: A hole opening and closing device of a chute is provided to prevent an accident due to the opening of a chute by automatically opening and closing the chute. CONSTITUTION: A hole opening and closing device of a chute comprises a first touch bar(24) fixed on a base(28) protruded onto the front face of a chute(22), an L-shaped support(12) having a roller(11) contacting the first touch bar and rotatably installed on a shaft(16) fixed on a main spring(15), a cam(13) inserted to the shaft of the support and horizontally interposed to a second touch bar(18), a link(21) fixed on a chute cover(25) via a pin(20'), and a spring(14) inserted to a spring support pin(17) attached to the free end of the second touch bar. Upon pushing the roller, the second touch bar is pushed leftward and rightward. The links are extended, and the chute cover is opened. When the chute is moved toward another lower chute, the first touch bar is departed from the roller. The support is returned to the neutral position, and the links are contracted. Thus, the chute cover is closed.
