PURPOSE: An apparatus for improving water quality using sun's rays which lifts deep water that contains little dissolved oxygen to water surface by operating lifting equipment using sun's lays and improves water quality of the lifted deep water by photodecomposition of pollutant matter using photocatalyst is provided. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises an inlet(11), a discharge part(12), a funnel-shaped floater(10), a supporting body(13), a motor(20) which is installed in the supporting part, a screw(21) which lifts deep water to the water surface by operation of the motor, a solar battery(30) which supplies power to the motor, a photodecomposition part(40) which is on the extension part(14), a ring-shaped buoyant matter(50). The photodecomposition part is made by coating the catalyst of TiO2 on the surface of the extension part.
