The invention relates to a method and a terminal apparatus for enabling the communication of sending and receiving the voice and the graphic data simultaneously from and/or to both terminals, particularly to a terminal apparatus comprising a micom which sends/receives an order through an appropriate program to control the peripheral devices such as LCD, touch panel or modem, and proceeds and sends/receives the data; LCD showing the graphic data stored in the memory unit onto the display unit; a touch panel which detects a position on which the styler pen is laid, and inform micom of the relevant data, when the user writes or draws a certain letter or graphic by use of the styler, as being a plastic pen; a memory element which stores the necessary control programs or data for LCD; SVD modem which controls the communications according to the order from the micom; i.e. the connection of communication, sending/receiving the voice and data, and the disconnection of communication when it ends; DAA which transmits/receives the signal between telephone network and modem under off-hook state; a loop-current detector which detects whether the current is induced to the telephone line when the telephone handset is raised, and transmits it to modem and micom; a handset hybrid circuit which turns over two lines as being the tip/ring of the telephone into four lines of input/output ports, and transmit the input/output signal as being the voice to modem; and a relay switch which may optionally be on/off according to SVD control signal from the said modem, thereby making the telephone connected to the general telecommunication line when the communication is made by voice, and connecting the telephone to the modem when in SVD mode. Accordingly, if one of both parties tried to "connection", the other party is automatically to be connected by sending SVD ring tone to the predetermined party, and if one of both parties tried to "SVD disconnection" in order to end the communication, "No Carrier" code is generated at the other party, automatically resulting in returning to the voice mode of communication. Furthermore, when one of two terminals is on-hooked in the "simultaneous" mode, "No Carrier" code is generated at the other party and is automatically returned to its voice-mode, and then is to be controlled to be on-hooked. According to this manner, a simultaneous transmittance/reception of voice and graphic data from and/or to both parties can be accomplished. |
