A device for measuring the concentration of a component present in a mixture of gases comprises a gas measuring pipe (11); a radiometer (1) with two axisymmetrical blades (3, 3'') which rotate about the axis of symmetry; and a first radiation source (7). The gas measuring pipe is arranged between the radiation source and one of the blades. An optical filter (12), preferably an interference filter, is provided between the pipe and the radiation source. Radiation is passed through the pipe and is charged with the mixture of gases. Only a part of the radiation passes through the filter and lies in the wavelength region corresponding to an absorption line. The strength of the radiometer effect can be measured. An Independent claim is also included for a process for measuring concentration of a component present in a mixture of gases comprising using the above device. Preferred Features: An axis of rotation is formed in the axis of symmetry. The blades are fixed to the axis of rotation. A light-sensitive element (17) is provided and a mirror (15) is fixed to the axis of rotation.
