摘要 A liquid crystal panel for in-plane switching (IPS) mode liquid crystal display device has a common electrode and a pixel electrode made of transparent conductive material to increase an aperture ratio and brightness. Second common electrodes and second pixel electrodes are formed in substantially zigzag patterns, which results in a symmetric alignment of liquid crystal in order to increase a viewing angle and a color shift. A black matrix may be formed on an upper substrate independent of a gate line and a data line or the black matrix may be formed by extending the gate line or the data line.
