The invention concerns a method for preparing a silica precipitate, for use as reinforcing filler in polymer compositions, comprising two families of aggregates of particles of different sizes, 4 to 15 mm for one and 16 to 35 mm for the other, and having a single-mode pore-size distribution, said method consisting in spray-drying a cake obtained by filtering a mixture of two different silica suspensions obtained each during the precipitating reaction of the two families of silica.
