An optical switch comprising at least an optical transmission unit (1), an optical path changing unit (8), and an actuator unit (11). The optical transmission unit (1) comprises a light reflecting surface (1a) which is disposed on a part of a surface facing at least to the optical path changing unit (8) and totally reflects light, and optical transmission paths (2, 4 and 5) which are disposed in at least three directions from the light reflecting surface (1a) and composed of a light waveguide. The optical path changing unit (8) is close to the light reflecting surface (1a) of the optical transmission unit (1) in a movable manner and comprises a light guiding member (9) formed of a translucent material, and a light reflecting member (10) which totally reflects light. The actuator unit (14) has a mechanism which is displaced by an external signal and transmits the displacement to the optical path changing unit (8), and brings the optical path changing unit (8) into/out of contact with the light reflecting surface (1a) of the optical transmission unit (1) by the displacement of the actuator unit (14) according to the external signal.
