PURPOSE: A device and a method for measuring a three-dimensional image is provided to use a pattern film, a photo sensor, a motor and a limit switch when measuring the three-dimensional image, so as to obtain the image having a clean pattern and acquire data having relatively low errors. CONSTITUTION: A projection unit(12) projects a pattern to a measured object. A pattern film(21) of which one end is guided is located on the front of the projection unit. A photo sensor(33) located on an upper part of the front of the projection unit senses a transfer position of the pattern film. In the pattern film, a photo sensor responding cutoff unit for cutting off the response of the photo sensor and a photo sensor responding unit for responding to the photo sensor are arranged at a predetermined distance. The pattern film is coupled to an upper part of a timing belt. A motor(36) transfers the pattern film right and left against the projection unit, to transmit the light source irradiated in the projection unit. And limit switches(37) are located in the right and left of the projection unit at a predetermined distance to suspend the transfer of the pattern film, after confirming that the transfer is performed to an end part of the pattern film by an operation of the motor.
