摘要 PURPOSE: A method for controlling tension of a strip in a plating furnace is provided to calculate tension which satisfies convergences at minimum and maximum tensions acted as limited elements in the process and which is easily adjusted. CONSTITUTION: The method for controlling tension of a strip in a plating furnace comprises the steps of using an arc tangent function to obtain an "S" shaped curve, wherein a tension calculation formula for transmitting information on the strip and controlling roll rotation of a roll driving motor which is an object to be controlled in a process computer is "tension=axarc tan£bx(thicknessxwidth/1000)-c|+d", where a is an upper and lower width adjusting variable, b is a left and right width adjusting variable, c is a left and right moving variable, and d is an upper and lower moving variable; setting by trial and error method to adjust upper and lower widths of the "S" shaped curve; setting b by trial and error method to adjust left and right widths of the "S" shaped curve; setting c by trial and error method to adjust upper and lower moving of the "S" shaped curve; and setting d by trial and error method to adjust left and right moving of the "S" shaped curve.
