<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable device with reduction in size and weight and without spoiling operability and handling ability, capable of usually using only one display part and opening to see a sub-display if needed. <P>SOLUTION: A second case 3 with a display part 4 is provided openably and closably with sub-cases 5, 6 comprising sub-display parts 7, 8. There are formed a sub-closed state where the sub-cases 5, 6 arranged at a rear side of the display part 4 overlap the display part 4, and a sub-opened state where the sub-display parts 7, 8 of the sub-cases 5, 6 are arranged in parallel with the display part 4. On the occasion of the sub-closed state, information such as characters and images is displayed on the display part 4, and on the occasion of the sub-opened state, the information such as characters and images is displayed on the display part 4 and on the sub-display parts 7, 8.
