<p>A speed reducer is described, comprising a casing (2), at least one gear and at least a pair of pinions (5a, 5b) simultaneously meshing with the gear (3), each pinion of the pair being connected to a respective kinematic chain including an epicyclic transmission with a ring gear (8a, 8b) stationary in the casing. Both kinematic chains are connected to the same drive-input shaft (15) and means are provided for taking up the slack in each kinematic chain so that the torque transmitted by the drive-input shaft (15) is divided equally between the respective pinions (5a, 5b) after the slack in the transmission of each kinematic chain has been taken up. The two ring gears (8a, 8b) are mounted in the casing (2) in a floating manner and the means for taking up the slack comprise means for transmitting torque between the ring gears so that the equilibrating reaction to the rotation of one ring gear is consequent, equal and opposite to the equilibrating reaction to the rotation of the other.</p> |
