A braking system which can be installed retrospectively to a wheeled mobility product such as a wheelchair allows a user such as an attendant to operate one or more brakes using only one handle. A cable braking system operates through a junction box (figure page 6/8) to pull all the brake cables at once. Moving the handle (11, figure page 3/8) up or down pulls the brake cable, the handle locking in the down position by a recess engaging a bolt in the handle housing. The construction of a brake for fitting to a wheeled mobility product is shown (figure pages 2/8 and 4/8) having a tyre engaging bar mounted on a pivoting bracket and a return spring.
