A rigid, water-soluble container for fabric care, surface care (eg cleaning or polishing of surfaces) or dishwashing compositions is made of a cellulose ether. It may be injection moulded and may comprise hydroxypropylmethylcellulose. The container may as shown comprise a generally cuboid receptacle part, optionally divided into compartments, which is closed by a water-soluble closure in the form of a film, optionally of poly (vinyl alcohol). Alternatively, the container may be of a capsule shape (Figures 8-13) comprising a receptacle part and a rigid closure part. In all cases, the closure may dissolve before the receptacle. A plurality of the cuboid containers may be separably joined together in a side-by-side array, especially for use in washing. |
