Crimped valve seal and manufacturing process for such a valve

The valve comprises an annular frame (1) whose folded parts define an annular channel in which an annular joint (2) is partially housed. The joint is crimped by folding down an outer wall (18) of the channel. The joint outer surface has a first truncated region (241) extending to the valve central axis which is extended by a second region (242) set back form the axis. The channel outer wall is progressively folded down toward the first region in order to fit its shape without penetrating into the joint material and without exerting a stress on it.
