The invention relates to the use of a fish-securing system adaptable to spear gun rods 1, which system is equipped with an internal wing 3 housed into the recess 2 of the spear gun rod 1 to guarantee the perfect hydrodynamic properties of this last throughout its forward motion. Any potential deployment of the wing by fish scales or flesh is nullified. The wing 3 is retained in the inoperative position during the motion of the rod 1; deployed by the forces exerted by the deceleration motion ofsame rod, it is capable of holding securely the captured fish.
