PURPOSE: A wind direction control apparatus of an air conditioner and a method thereof are provided to keep pleasant and cool environment by forming cubical discharge flow with a simple remote controller and by changing flow variously. CONSTITUTION: A wind direction control device of an air conditioner comprises a cubical flow selection button(30) varying flow up and down and right and left simultaneously; a shower current selection button(40) varying discharge flow up and down and right and left and adjusting the flow rate or cycle; a control unit(50) controlling first and second wind direction adjusting motors(60,80) according to input of selection buttons; and first and second louvers moving corresponding to rotation of wind direction adjusting motors. The room is kept cool and pleasant with changing air flow variously and cubically.
