PURPOSE:To enable a player to play the electronic musical instrument while displaying sound effects as the player intends by properly selecting specific sound effect characteristics by the player among plural prepared sound effect characteristics and selecting the stepping-in quantity of a pedal and the extent of imposition of effect matching the sensitivity of the player. CONSTITUTION:A ROM 11 stores a control program for placing a CPU 10 in operation and various fixed data that the CPU 10 uses for various processes. This ROM 11 corresponds to a part of a coefficient generating means and stores conversion tables which prescribe sound effects, e.g. characteristics of a damper pedal effect. Namely, the conversion tables which contain the relation between pedal position data and coefficients are stored for respective characteristic curves. Which conversion table is to be used to impart the damper pedal effect is controlled with characteristic number stored in a RAM 12 Therefore, the player can select and use characteristics of the damper pedal effect matching the player. |
