PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple mechanism to reduce skewing of a paper sheet, in a printer for printing the cut paper sheet. SOLUTION: In a paper feeding device of the printer, sheet carrier rollers 1, 3 and pressing rollers 2, 4 carry a sheet. In the constitution, the circumferential speed of paper carrier rollers 1, 3 is changed and the sheet therebetween is applied with tensile force, and a brake mechanism prevents the paper sheet from skewing by using difference in friction force of right and left sides of the paper sheet.
