PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding unit miniaturized by reducing the number of components. SOLUTION: A stepping motor 52 is built in a manual tray 50 and rotates a paper feeding roller 84. The paper feeding roller 84 is fixed on a rotation shaft 60 through a one way clutch 86. A middle plate press down cam 80 is also fixed on the rotation shaft 60 through a one way clutch 82 to keep a middle plate 72 away from the paper feeding roller 84.
