PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique regarding a housing for a nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus having sufficient rigidity and proper vibration-damping properties. SOLUTION: This housing for the nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus comprises a reinforcing material of an SiC powder of a content of 20 to 80 vol% and a metal and ceramics composite material containing an aluminum alloy of Al-Si-Mg as a matrix.
