PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum thawing unit capable of uniformly thawing a material to be thawed, without causing so-called thawing unevenness, and further capable of properly maintaining the temperature of the thawed material after thawed. SOLUTION: In this vacuum thawing unit having a processing tank 1 which can be sealed, a controlling means for controlling an amount of radiant heat transferred from wall surfaces 37 of the processing tank 1 is installed. Further, a cooling means for cooling the wall surfaces 37 of the processing tank 1 is installed.
