FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: method to manufacture active carbon implies raw wood disintegration, impregnation with phosphoric acid solution and carbonisation. Raw wood is disintegrated to size of not more than 8-10 mm, impregnation coefficient is at least 0.01, and liquor ratio is 1-2. Carbonisation is carried out in parallel with activation, raw wood being ignited from below in ascending air stream, flow rate of the latter being at least 150 m/h, followed by washing of resulting active carbon to remove contaminants. ^ EFFECT: invention permits to extend the application field of active carbon and to reduce cost thereof. ^ 1 ex |
