PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for taking X-ray photographic images which is capable of reducing an exposed dose, without forcing a subject to be exposed for useless radiation upon determining a photographic position. SOLUTION: The device for X-ray photographic images designed by this patent is capable of taking X-images at various shooting positions or postures that meet a variety of positions to be taken by a bed or an open plate or C-arm. It is designed, on the contrary, by this patent that the positions or postures to be taken by a bed and C-arm, or the like, can be automatically set up in accordance with an information obtainable from the photographed X-ray images at various kinds of shooting positions. 'An information obtainable from X-ray images' referred to herein can be obtained, for example, from designated inputting of a position of attention in the X-ray images concerned and corresponds to a coordinate of real space of a position relevant to the above designated inputting. In this case, the above automatic set-up that makes use of the above coordinate is conducted in an attempt to shift or relocate C-arm, or the like, so that the above position of concern can be projected in the center of an X-ray detector.
