PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet separating mechanism for a sheet feeding device of such a structure that the side edges of a resin sheet separate smoothly from claws of clips at the downstream end of the sheet feeding device, and thereby there is no risk that the side edges of the resin sheet go in breakage or the clips or their claws are broken. SOLUTION: The sheet feeding device includes a chain 37 whereto a lower clip member and an upper clip member to move in the vertical direction relative to the lower are attached and which runs revolving along a transport path for the resin sheet prepared by hot molding, whereby transport is made in such a way that the side edges of the resin sheet are grasped by the lower and upper clip members, wherein the configuration further includes a sheet separating plate 47 installed at the downstream end of the sheet feeding device in such an arrangement that the position of the undersurface lies approximately at the same level as the lower clip member.
