PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain various windings smoothly and automatically by winding a web around various cores of different winding directions, different diameters or different axial lengths through use of a simple and compact structure. SOLUTION: The device comprises a cutting mechanism 26 for cutting a long raw film 16 into various long films 24a of different widths, a core rotating mechanism 58 capable of selectively holding the cores 28 of different diameters and different axial lengths and rotating the core 28 in both directions, a winding mechanism 110 capable of supporting the long film 24a on an outer surface of the core 28 and winding the long film 24a in the different winding directions when the core 28 is rotated, and a cutting mechanism 66 for cutting an end of the long film 24a to obtain a winding 30a after the long film 24a is wound around the core 28.
