PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for work carry-in confirmation having a simple configuration in which an operation of a loader is employed to confirm with excellent reliability whether or not a work is properly carried in. SOLUTION: A confirming action command means 21 is provided which makes a loader 5 performing the operation to abut a part of the loader 5 to an end surface of a work W retained on a work holding part 2 of the machine tool 1. A work position detecting means 31 for detecting a position of the abutted work end surface is provided. On the basis of the detected result and the dimension of the work, a work seating judging means 32 for judging confirmation of seating is provided. The work position detecting means 31 detects that the loader is brought into contact with the work W by variation in a load torque of a servo motor 13. The work seating judging means 32 judges a seating faulty when the work position detecting means 31 detects the contact before the loader 5 reaches to the position corresponding to the dimension of the work.
