PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide metal shears capable of smoothly cutting a metal plate into an arc shape. SOLUTION: The shape of an edge part 4, which extends from a base part 13 to an edge tip 16 of the edge part of a moving edge 1, from a base end 18 of the edge part to, at least, a position of an approximately 60% of the length of the edge part is surrounded with an edge rear face 5 extending vertically, an edge front face 6 extending obliquely upward from the bottom end 7 of the edge rear face to the outward of the edge, an outer surface 9 of a ridge extending obliquely upward from the upper end 8 of the edge surface in the edge rear face direction, and an inner surface 12 of the edge extending obliquely downward from the upper end 10 of the outer surface of the ridge to the upper end 11 of the edge rear face. Because of the shape, the upper end circumference of the edge front face is swelled sideways from the moving edge surface 14 of the circumference of a support with the upper end set to the vertex.
