PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter element for solid-liquid separation enabling the prevention of the early stage generation of a clogging phenomenon and the removal of clogging due to fluctuations of fine wires by winding fine wires within the depressed parts of filtering holes and extremely excellent in filtering capacity. SOLUTION: Filtering holes S having a coil-shaped depressed cross section holding minute intervals between adjacent wire materials are formed by winding the wire material 6 constant in thickness around the outside or inside of a cylindrical frame 1 in a coil shape and coil-shaped depressed parts A are provided to the filtering holes S and one or more fine wire 7 having a diameter larger than the width of each filter hole S and smaller than the thickness of the wire material 6 is wound along the recessed parts A in a coil shape so as to form minute flow channels to constitute the filter element for solid-liquid separation.
